PHARMACY SERVICES

We are fortunate to have the service of Omnicare pharmacy available to us. Omnicare is a full service pharmacy that specializes in nursing home and assisted living service. They deliver to us nightly and package medications in unit dose form. Unit dose medication allows for easier distribution by our nursing staff. Omnicare will process insurance and Rx discount cards, just like any other pharmacy. Many of our current residents utilize this service because it removes the burden of medication management and refills from a resident's family. THERAPY SERVICES

Liberty Residence has a cooperative relationship with Integrity Home Care for physical and occupational therapy services. Integrity was established in 1993 and has served thousands of home health care recipients in Cuyahoga, Lorain, Medina and Summit counties. Integrity strives to provide individualized rehabilitation, supportive, restorative and preventative health measures. They are dedicated to assisting our residents achieve their maximum potential without leaving the comfort of our building.

Integrity staff receives ongoing training to ensure residents receive the latest treatments and equipment available to meet their medical needs. Goals and progress are discussed with the Liberty nursing staff, the resident and the family at regular intervals to assure that the plan of treatment is up to date and understood. HEARING SERVICES

Amanda Lillback of Hearing Health Centers conducts free hearing screenings at Liberty Residence II the first Monday of every month. Amanda is a licensed hearing aid instrument specialist and a member of the International Hearing Society. The service also includes free hearing aid tune-ups, hearing aid cleanings, minor hearing aid repairs and ear wax removals. Hearing Health Centers have made in-home hearing care an integral part of their practice using portable testing equipment. Their in-home capabilities also include hearing instrument fitting. PSYCHOLOGIST SERVICES

Dr. Richard Barnett is a clinical psychologist who provides psychological services to residents at Liberty Residence II. Dr. Barnett has a doctorate in psychology from Kent State University and has twenty year experience in working with geriatrics. He comes to Liberty Residence II on a weekly basis and provides psychological evaluations and ongoing counseling. He works with problems such as adjustment issues, loss, depression and anxiety. LABORATORY SERVICES

MEDLAB has an extensive courier network which enables them to customize the pickup and delivery of samples and allowing them to process specimens more frequently, resulting in a faster turnaround time. Qualified phlebotomists perform venipunctures on a scheduled or on-call basis. These phlebotomists are trained to assist in patient preparation, special collection procedures, and specimen handling. MEDLAB is committed to providing an exceptional level of customer services. Pathologists are available for consultation on interpretation of tests and/or other questions. MEDLAB makes it possible for us to order tests and receive results online.
