Liberty Residence is part of the American Hospitality Group, a company based in Wadsworth and owned by the Leatherman family. AHG has provided health care services in nursing homes for more than 35 years. We recognized the need for a comfortable and quality senior housing community in the Wadsworth area and thus the development of Liberty Residence began.

Liberty Residence I, Senior Independent Living was opened in 1994 and expanded in 2003. Liberty Residence II, Senior Assisted Living was opened in 2002. For over fifteen years, Liberty Residence has offered seniors the opportunity to live an independent lifestyle within the comfort and convenience of a professionally-managed community. Our primary goal for Liberty Residence I and II is to meet the needs of our residents and enhance the quality of their lives. We offer affordable, all-inclusive monthly fees and never require an entrance fee or endowment.

Making life stress-free for our residents is always at the top of our to-do list. We begin by simplifying the basics. To satisfy our residents’ culinary tastes and dietary requirements, we serve three freshly-prepared meals each day in our comfortable fireside dining rooms. Weekly housekeeping service removes the burden of cleaning while freeing up time for some of life’s more enjoyable activities. From exercise classes, card clubs, crafts and choir to a full calendar of activities and entertainment, residents have a multitude of recreation opportunities at their disposal.
